The blanket itself has been knit in squares, 20 in total I think. She had used the "Tree Breeze" pattern out of Nicky Epstein's "Knitting Block By Block" book , taking her time knitting each block in the lovely Sublime yarn she had chosen.
This last weekend we got together and embarked on the sewing up project. She sat out in the garden, our lovely German Shepherd Dog Cain at her side.
It's not quite finished! , but when it is I'm sure I'll be showing yo the finished result.
I love it, it looks great! And what a nice way to spend time with your daughter! I bet you had a lovely time. Are you going to finish it off together too? Or will your daughter be able to do it on her own now you've broken the back of the project?
ReplyDeleteShe did most of it on her own on Saturday , I just got her started. So hopefully as long as she doesnt wait too long she should be able to finish it on her own. Looking forward to see the finished blanket.
DeleteLooking good, love the colours and the tree design is perfect.
